Pakistan Journal of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery

PAKISTAN JOURNAL OF CARDIOVASCULAR & THORACIC SURGERY (PJCVTS) is a peer reviewed journal. It started in late 2002 as official journal of the Pakistan Society of Cardiovascular & Thoracic surgeons (PSCVTS). It was published on quaterly basis in print version till lately.

From January 2018 it has started publishing bi-monthly both as print and online version. It has controlled circulation.

OPEN ACCESS POLICY:
PJCVTS is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author provided the original work is properly cited. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

PLAGIARISM CHECK:
Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and those found guilty or involved in publication misconduct are liable to be black listed. It is our policy to hold all authors equally responsible for acts of plagiarism. In this regard we follow the guidelines and SOPs of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

ISSN Indexing:
The journal has registered ISSN for both print and online versions which are displayed on this site . It is aiming to be indexed in medline and other databses of scientific journals at the earliest.

Subscription:
The journal follows the policy of Open Access. Its online access is therefore free for all readers. However, there is subscription fee for print version. For details please contact the managing editor. The members of the PSCVTS receive complimentary copies while their membership is in good standing.

The statements of facts or opinion narrated by the authors in their articles pubished in the Pakistan Journal of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery do not necessarily reflect the endorsement of the Journal Editors, Editorial Board, Publisher, Organizers of PJCVT or the members and office holders of Pakistan Society of Cardioascular & Thoracic Surgeons. Manuscript Processing Charges:
There are charges for Manuscript Processing (Rs 5000 non refundable) and Publication Charges (Rs 20000) for each articles. The invedited Editorials and solicited articles are exempted from these charges. The Associate Members of the PSCVTS are also exempted from charges. The authors who are unable to afford these charges can apply for waiver.

Reprints:
The authors are provided e-reprints in the form of PDF files without any charges. They can buy the printed copies on payment of charges.
